Step-by-step walkthrough
Prefer text to video? Every turn is below in order — which ring to turn, which way, roughly how far, and whose clamp it is clearing. Keep it open next to the game and work down the list.
Level 11 · Beginner · 9 rings, 7 turns. Angles are approximate measurements from the recorded solve; stop turning as soon as the gap seats over the clamp.
A closed light blue ring sits in the middle and reaches out with clamps on both sides. Eight rings surround it. The centre ring never has to move: clear the outer rings in the right order and the whole set comes apart.
How the rings work
- Every turning ring has a gap. A clamp from a neighbouring ring presses on its rim; turn the held ring until the gap reaches that clamp.
- The central light blue ring is drawn as a closed circle. It holds other rings but has no gap of its own, so it is never turned.
- A ring held by more than one clamp needs one turn per clamp. The lower-centre blue ring is the busiest piece here.
- Work from the outside in, and clear a ring before any ring it holds.
- The angles below are approximate. The real stop point is when the gap slips over the clamp, not an exact number on screen.

Turn order
Step 1 — Orange ring, upper left
- Turn: anticlockwise about 178°.
- Why: the clamp holding it belongs to the central light blue ring.
- After this: the orange ring comes off the centre ring.
Step 2 — Red ring, left
- Turn: anticlockwise about 9°.
- Why: the clamp holding it belongs to the lower-centre blue ring.
- After this: the red ring comes free.
Step 3 — Blue ring, lower centre
- Turn: clockwise about 31°.
- Why: the clamp holding it comes from the lower-left light blue ring.
- After this: the blue ring separates from the lower-left light blue ring, but it is still held by the centre ring and still carries two other rings.
Step 4 — Light green ring, upper right
- Turn: clockwise about 108°.
- Why: the blue ring has just turned about 31°, which moves its clamp around to roughly the 168° position. The light green ring has to follow it further than a short nudge.
- After this: the light green ring comes free.
Step 5 — Purple ring, above
- Turn: anticlockwise about 178°.
- Why: the clamp holding it belongs to the central light blue ring.
- After this: the purple ring comes free.
Step 6 — Dark green ring, lower right
- Turn: clockwise about 147°.
- Why: the clamp holding it belongs to the orange ring below.
- After this: the dark green ring comes free.
Step 7 — Light blue ring, lower left
- Turn: anticlockwise about 136°.
- Why: the clamp holding it belongs to the orange ring below.
- After this: the lower-left light blue ring comes free. With its last clamp empty, the orange ring below drops with it and the board clears.
Pro tips
- The red ring is the small turn. Step 2 is only about 9°, so move it slowly; it is very easy to carry the gap straight past the clamp.
- Do not touch the central ring. It is a complete circle with no gap. It holds the purple and upper-left orange rings and never turns itself.
- The lower-centre blue ring is the pivot of the lower half. It turns once at step 3, and that turn changes where its clamp sits for the light green ring at step 4.
- The directions alternate. Steps 1 and 2 are anticlockwise, step 3 is clockwise, step 4 is clockwise, then step 5 is anticlockwise again. Read each step rather than repeating the previous direction.
- Exact angles are not required. The degree values are measured approximations; the ring is free as soon as the gap clears the clamp.
Level 11 in short
Turn the upper-left orange ring, the left red ring, then the lower-centre blue ring. Follow with the upper-right light green, the top purple, the lower-right dark green and the lower-left light blue. The lower orange ring drops with the last turn.
