Rotate Rings levels FAQ

Quick answers about finding and beating Rotate Rings levels.

How many Rotate Rings levels have walkthroughs?

All 250 Rotate Rings levels are covered, spread across four difficulty tiers: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Expert. Every level has a full video walkthrough, and the boards measured by hand also have a written ring breakdown with clamp owners and turn counts.

How do I find a specific level?

Type the level number in the search box above (for example 52) and press Go. You can also use the range buttons - 1-40, 41-80 and so on - to jump straight to a group of levels.

What do the difficulty tiers mean?

Levels 1-59 are Beginner, 60-124 are Intermediate, 125-189 are Advanced, and 190-230 are Expert. The tier reflects how many interlocked layers a board has and how much planning it needs, not a timer or move limit.

Does every level have a video walkthrough?

Yes. Every level page embeds a YouTube walkthrough covering that board. The first few levels share one multi-level recording, which the page labels. Boards with a hand-verified layout also show the ring count, clamp owners and turn order below the video.

Why do I keep getting stuck on the same level?

Most stuck runs come from turning a ring that still holds another ring, which moves its clamp to a new angle. Free the rings that hold nobody first, then turn each held ring until its gap reaches the clamp. Work from the outside in.
