Step-by-step walkthrough
Prefer text to video? Every turn is below in order — which ring to turn, which way, roughly how far, and whose clamp it is clearing. Keep it open next to the game and work down the list.
Level 13 · Beginner · 8 turns across two chains. This is a text-only solve. Closed rings are carriers: they hold their neighbours and drop when the ring beside them is freed.
The board is split into an upper chain and a lower chain. Both chains contain a closed ring near the middle. Those closed rings never turn; they only hold the pieces around them, and they fall once their support is gone.
How the rings work
- A turning ring has a gap. A clamp presses on its rim, and the ring comes free when the gap reaches that clamp.
- A closed ring has no gap at all. It can hold another ring but cannot be turned, so never spend a move on one.
- A ring may share a clamp with a closed ring. Freeing the turning ring removes the support and the closed ring drops with it.
- Work on the upper chain first, then the lower chain. That keeps the lower clamps from being covered by the upper pieces.
- The eight steps are ring turns. Every piece on the board is removed by one of them.

Turn order
Step 1 — Blue ring, upper left
- Action: turn the blue ring at the upper left until its gap reaches its clamp.
- Why: it is the outer ring at the top of the upper chain.
- After this: the blue ring drops and the left side of the upper chain loosens.
Step 2 — Light green ring, above
- Action: turn the light green ring above the centre until its gap meets its clamp.
- Why: the upper-left ring is gone, so this ring is now the exposed piece on the upper chain.
- After this: the light green ring drops, and the red closed ring on its right loses support and falls with it.
Step 3 — Light green ring, left
- Action: turn the light green ring on the left of the lower chain until its gap reaches its clamp.
- Why: with the upper chain cleared, the lower-left side is accessible.
- After this: the light green ring drops and the left side of the lower chain opens.
Step 4 — Light blue ring, upper left
- Action: turn the light blue ring at the upper left until its gap meets its clamp.
- Why: it is the next piece along the upper chain now that the first light green ring is gone.
- After this: the light blue ring comes free.
Step 5 — Light blue ring, centre
- Action: turn the central light blue ring until its gap reaches the final clamp on that link.
- Why: it is the last turning ring in the upper chain.
- After this: the central light blue ring and the purple ring on its right drop together.
Step 6 — Orange ring, upper right
- Action: turn the orange ring at the upper right until its gap meets its clamp.
- Why: clearing the centre leaves this as the last upper-right piece.
- After this: the orange ring drops.
Step 7 — Red ring, lower left
- Action: turn the red ring at the lower left until its gap reaches its clamp.
- Why: it is the outer ring on the lower-left side.
- After this: the red ring drops, and the green closed ring below it falls with it.
Step 8 — Orange ring, lower middle
- Action: turn the orange ring at the lower middle until its gap meets the last clamp.
- Why: it is the final turning ring on the lower chain.
- After this: the orange ring and the purple closed ring at the lower right drop together, clearing the level.
Pro tips
- Never turn a closed ring. The red ring in the upper chain and the green and purple rings at the bottom have no gap. They fall when their neighbour leaves.
- Finish the upper chain before the lower one. The upper pieces cover part of the lower links; reversing the order makes the lower turns harder to read.
- The paired drops are the reward. Step 2 takes a closed ring, step 5 takes the purple ring, step 7 takes the green closed ring and step 8 takes the purple closed ring.
- Eight clicks, more than eight pieces. If a ring disappears without its own step, it was being carried by the ring you just turned.
Level 13 in short
Clear the upper chain from the upper left through the centre and the upper-right orange ring, then finish the lower chain from the lower-left red ring to the lower-middle orange ring. The closed rings fall with their neighbours.
